A KILKEE WELCOME
NEW SCHOOLMASTER GETS ROUGH RECEPTION. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] (Aust and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Thursday, 7 p.m.) LONDON, February 3. A new schoolmaster, arriving by motor-car at Kilkee, County Clare, found the road barricaded, the residents resenting the appointment. They smashed tho wind-screen and assaulted the teacher’s mother. Civic Guards, with batons, charged the crowd and revolver shots were exchanged. Later, the school door, which had been padlocked to prevent the teacher’s entrance, had to bn burst.
