REGISTRATION BILL PROPOSED. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Last Night. A conference of the New Zealand Society of Professional Musi clans opened this morning. Mr. Robert, who was re-elected president, referred to the proposed Registration Bill, having for its objects fhe elimination of untrained musicians from the teaching ranks and obtaining a proper status for the professional musician. The Society was hopeful that the Bill would be passed, and it was anxious to secure an improvement in the teaching of music in the schools. He was pleased that a qualified teacher for th® schools was coming from thus placing music on a standardised' basis.
