FINES IMPOSED AT COURT. A long list of by-law cases was dealt with by Mr J. L. Stout S.M., at the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Failure to keep to the left cost Frank Edward Cooksley 10/- and for driving: at a speed that was deemed dangerous he was fined £2 with Court costs 7/- in each case. Helen Cash left a motor car more than 10 feet from tha N kerblng and the oversight cost her 17/-. Sydney Clarke allowed a motor lorry to remain stationary without sufficient lights and was fined £1 and costs 7/-. John Flowers for failing to keep to the left was fined £1 and costs 7/-i For driving a car without lights Archibald William Gilchrist was penalised £1 and ■ 7/-. Percy E. Ginn, who drove an unregistered motor car in the Esplanade, was fined £1 and 7/oosta. Neglect to close the “cut-out” of his motor cycle cost Walter John Guyman £l. He was also charged with falling to produce a license and was fined 10/- costs being 7/- in each case. Driving a motor oar without sufficient lights cost Ronald Turner and William Hebden each £1 with 7/- and 2/- costs respectively. Arthur A. Wood drove an unregistered car in Fltzherbert street and was fined £1 and 7/-. For driving a motor cycle in a manner dangerous to the public, William Patrick Casey was fined £l. On two charges of pillion riding he was fined 10/- with 7/costs attached to each fine. Four charges were laid against Victor Hudson of driving! In a manner deemed dangerous, and for failing to be a holder of a driver’s license: for riding an unregistered motor cycle, and with affixing to the vehicle a false number. He was fined £1 on the first charge and 10/- on each of the others. Costs totalled 8/-. Failure to produce a driver’s license , cost Hugh Andrew £1 and 7/- costs. J. H. Puller was fined 10/- and 13/costs for a similar offence. Albert Goldfinch allowed his car to remain unattended for more than 10 minutes and was fined 10/- with costs amounting to 18/-. William Irvin, forgot to pocket his driver’s license on a trip to Palmerston North and was fined 5/- and costs amounting to 15/Rlchard Loughnan was mulcted in 10/- and 16/- costs for a similar offence and Roy Macalister £1 and 7/-, while Cecil Terry was relieved of £1 and 11/- costs. For riding a motor cycle without lights Hugh 'McKenzle was fined 10/- and on a charge of failure to produce his driving license £l. Costs amounted to 18/- in all.
