Y.M.C.A. SWIMMING CLUB
The first race for the Eyre Cup was held last night. • A large field faced the starter and some good finishes resulted as follows: Ist Heat:—Keat (ssecs.) 1, McKenzie (scr.) 2, Hume (3secs.) 3. Time 28 secs. 2nd.- Heat:—Dawick (3secs.) 1, Jolly (2secs.) ,2, Eyn> ,(Bcr,).'S. Time 22 secs. FlnaL-r-McKenele (scr.) and Hume (3secs.) dead heat ,1, Dawick (Sseca) 3 Time 23'secs. . Arrangements, are well in hand for the forthcoming- Carnival to he held on February. 10th., -in the Municipal baths.
