GROWERS’ APPEAL FOR BUTT. .
[Per Press Association.] ASHBURTON Last Night A meeting of wheat growers convened by the Ashburton branch of thg / Farmers’ Union was attended by 2T members. It was resolved that see-' ; v ing that the Government has decided {' not to take control after this this meeting of growers is not in fa- -3 vour of control this season, but ask* the Government to put»an adequate duty on imported wheat and Hour.** The motion was carried without dissent, six abstaining from voting.
