CANADIAN PARLIAMENT
SESSION OPENED YESTERDAY. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Friday 8.15) OTTAWA, January 7. The Speech from the throne, when the fifteenth Federal Parliament is formally opened on Friday, is expected to outline the Government’s proposals for reducing taxation, rural credit and immigration schemes. The speech will be read by the GovernorGeneral, Lord Byng, and a brief ses, slon will be held on Thursday. Mr Rudolphe Lemieux, Speaker of the last Parliament, has been re-elected.
