HOTEL THIEF SURPRISED. MAKES OFF BUT IS CAPTURED. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Last NigUf. “A sensational leap from a thjra storey window of the Domnnon hotel was made by a man who was interrupted while going through the bedrooms at six o’clock to-night When accosted by the licensee, he raised a window and on his hands and knees on~a grass plot. To the surprise of bis pursuers, he got to his feet and made off, but was later captured by detectives.
When examined at the police station, he was bleeding from the face, but had no sign of other Injury. About £4 was missing from the hotel rooms. The man was sent to hospital anu later will appear at the Court on a theft charge.
