LOOKING FOR A BITE
A party of anglers were on their way home in th e pouring rain. They wer e returning with empty baskets and in a bad temper. 'As they entered the village, a largo dog ran at them, barking furiously. One of the fishermen kicked it away carelessly. “Aren’t you afraid he will snap at you if you do that?’’ asked his friend. His companion answered, sorrowfully: "I oriiy wish he would, d’d risk almost anything to be able to go home and say I’d had a bite I"
