NOTES OF THE DAY.
Mr. R. M. Watson. S.M., of Feilding, iias been appointed a commission for the purpose of ascertaining the expediency of vesting the exclusive care, control, management and maintenance of the Hokio Stream In any local authority. The commission is to commence its inquiry at Levin to-day and is expected to last two days at least.
