SCURRILOUS LETTER TO A JUDGE
The Attorney-General, Sir Douglas Hogg, moved in the King’s Bench Division, London for a rule against Joseph Freeman, who, despite police warnings has repeatedly and grossly attacked Justice Sir Adair Roche, who presided at a case which Freeman lost. Freeman sent three scurrilous letters daily to the judge. One declared: “You’ve disgraced the English Bar and betrayed your Judicial oath. You are a coward, a liar, and a corrupt administrator of Justice. I dare you to Imprison me.” The court peremptorily ordered Freeman to attend on November 24.
