LYTTON STREET SCHOOL

At a meeting of the Lytton Street school committee, presided over by Mr J. Penney, it was resolved to approve of the chairman’s action in agreeing to pay £l2/10/- towards the cost of a section and to pay half the cost of the survey and do the fencing.

Notification was received from the Wanganui Education Board of Miss Heley’s resignation and it decided to send a mttsr of condolence to Miss Heley in the death of her mother and to also express the committee’s regret at her leaving the school.

It was decided to request .the Board to remove the platforms in the two class rooms in order to give more accommodation .

Following a discussion, it was decided to discontinue the practice of giving prizes and to hold the breaking up ceremony at the school.
