The tenth annual report of the Mangawhata Co-operative Dairy Co. Ltd. to be presented at the general meeting on August 19, states: The company has had a most successful year, suppliers having been paid 1/5 per lb. for butter.fat right through (he veai - . There is a surplus of £2 96 3 11/9 for distribution, and the directors recommend the payment of a further 2*d per lb payment over the whole of the butter-fat supplied for the past season, which will absorb £2883 4/-, leaving a balance of £SO, which they recommend to be utilised in the payment of a dividend on pald.up capital. The retiring directors arc Messrs Wilton, Cookslcy and Simmons, who offer themselves for re-election. The manager and staff are deserving of our best thanks for their excellent service during the past season. . The statistics for the year were as follow: Total milk received. 6,876,515 lbs, of. which .141.679 lbs was separated ; butter-‘fat ’ received, '273.504 lbs, of which 266,918 lbs were used for cheesemaking - : total cheese manufactured. 324 tons 14 cwt. 10 lbs total butter • manufactured, 2 tons 18 cwt. 1. qr., 16 lbs; total Whey butter manufactured, 3 tons 11 cwt 11 lbs;- average test 3.91; yield on factory weights 2.72; manufacturing cost, .95; management cost .51; total lost to f.0.b., 1.46.
