Mr. James Wallace and Miss Wallace, of Palmerston North, have returned to town from a visit to England. Constable F. Tindall, who has been stationed at Dannevirke for the past 12 years, is shortly being transferred on promotion to the charge of. the station at Waitotara.

It appears that the felicitations of the Manawatu Motor Club to Mr Percy Coleman on his approaching marriage wore a little previous, as Mr Coleman states that it will be two months before the happy event takes place. However, better early that late.

air. J. S. Mills, a young sheepfarmer with the Australian Hockey team, has only been out from Home a couple of years. He is a native of Newton Abbott, Devon, the headquarters of the 1905 and 1924 All Blacks. He knew many of the former. After seeing the 1925 team play in Sydney recently he is of opinion that Australia still has a lot to learn from Dominion Rugby exponents.

Andrews, builder, had been unanimously selected as Liberal-Labour _ candidate for the Masterton scat, subject to the approval of the Liberal-Labour executive. A meeting of the executive had approved of the candidate. There passed away at the Palmerston North Hospital on Sunday, Mr. Thomas Ro\xles, a pioneer settler of the Kiwitea district.
