Latest Popular Stunt At Wembley TO RETRIEVE FALLING FORTUNES. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Wednesday, 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 14. The Imperial Economic Committee spent a day at Wembley inspecting the Australian, New Zealand, Canadian and South African pavilions. During their stay in the Australian pavilion, the members heard a large party of public schoolboys repeat the war cry now taugh daily in the pavilion to similar parties: "Keep your own money in your Empire” Each party receives a gift of an Australian flag. The committee certainly found the Australian and New Zealand pavilions tile liveliest at Wembley, where even a reduction in the combined railway and entrance charges has not revived the daily attendances. A daily prize of £IOO for the nearest guess to the daily attendance is the latest device to retrieve the Exhibition's fortunes.
In an Empire essay competition, promoted by the Society of Women Journalists, Mr. James Bertram, of Oamaru. won the boy's prize of £lO.
