executive meeting. The fortnightly meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Eootball Club was held last evening, when the president, Mr. J. C. Young, occupied the chair. Other members present were: Messrs. 11. Simmonds, C. Taylor, ,T. S. Jenkinson, H. Johnson and J. RBlackwell (secretary). Correspondence. The R.S.A, wrote, stating that it was at present unable to take a debenture for the stand at the North Street Park. —Received. The parent body wrote stating that the following resolutions had been passed at the last meeting of the Association: “That the following words contained in the resolution concerning the Chatham Cup, the Council agreed that for thp 1925 season the total ground charges for the Chatham Cup preliminaries shall nob exceed 25 per cent, of the gross gate, bo deleted, and the following alterations were also made (a) in matches prior to the district matches, 7 5 per cent, will go to the affiliated controlling association, and 2 5 per cent, divided amongst the competing clubs; (b), in district matches, 45 per cent, is to go to each of the controlling bodies and 10 poi cent, amongst the competing clubs. — Recciv'ed.
The Auckland Association wrote, asking' whether the Association was anxious to send a team for the Brown Shield, and, if not, would it forego its right in favour of Otago, as the Auckland supporters were keen to see the southern team in action. The writers suggested that the Otago team play a game at Palmerston North after visiting the northern city.—lt was decided to take no action at present. A suggestion that the senior B division team of the Johnsonville Association play a friendly game with Manawatu at the end of the present Season was made by the former association. The letter was passed over to the Athletic Club, whose representative requested the game. The St. Andrews Club wrote, advising that it hoped to take a £lO debenture for the stand at North street, but would certainly take a £5 one, if acceptable. The club also tvroto stating that it took strong exception to the Association’s decision “to take no action” with regard to the club’s application for its game -with R.S.A. being replayed. The club alleged that the referee’s report did not state the facts and also that the Association should have taken some definite and positive action, seeing the versions of the referees and, the club differed so very much. The club had unanimously carried the following resolution: “That the committee grant the club the privilege of vindicating its name and produce witnesses to prove its case." —lt rvas decided to accept the offer of £5 from the club. With regard to the request to reconsider the previous decision, it was decided that nothing be done, as the members considered the matter had been dealt with. General. Owing to the resignation of Mr. .1. P. Cooper from the executive of the Association, Mr. E. Kempton was appointed to fill the vacancy. The fixtures for next Saturday are as follow: —R.S.A. v. Athletic, No. 2 ground, Palmerston North, 3 p.m, (Chatham Cup game); Poxton Flock House at Flock House, 3 p.m.; St. Andrews B v. Rangers, No. 1 Palmerston North, 3 p.m.; S.t Andrews A, a bye. The games for following Saturday will be:—R.S.A. v. Flock House al Flock House; Foxton v. St. Andrews B, at Foxton: St. Andrews A v. Athletic at Palmerston North; Rangers, a bye.
Accounts amounting to £6 10/- were passed for payment.
