AT MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Mr. J. L. Stout. S.M., presided at a sitting of the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court yesterday, when civil business was conducted. Judgment for plaintiff by default was entered in each of the following cases:—W. Hunter Will (Mr. Clayton) v. Robert N. Ramsay £1 11/6, costs 9/-; Barry and Freeman (Mr. McGregor) v. L. Gordon, £1 10/-, costs 8/-: E. Dais (Mr. Ongley) v. J. B. Robertson, costs £1 4/-; A hi. Essex (Mr. Merton) v. K. Murray, £3O 8/6, costs £4 1/6; Central Auctioneering Company (Mr. Fletcher) v. Alex. McLeod. £7 15/-, costs £1 10/6; H. Hepworth (Mr. Meatyard) v. A. V. Johansen, 7-, costs S/-; E. Davenport (Mr. Laurenson) v. A. McLeod, £lO 2/6, costs £2 14/-. Judgment Summonses. - Robert James Morgan was ordered to pay James Walker (Mr. McGregor) the amount of £2 16/- forthwith, in default seven days, warrant to bo suspended so long as defendant pays 5/- a month. Burnett, Mcßeath and Brown (Mr. Meatyard) secured an order against C, E. Pearson for the payment of £5 18/6, in default seven days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended so long as defendant pays £1 a month.
