Mr Alfred Seifert loaves Palmerston North by the Main Trunk express this morning’ for Wellington on his holiday trip to the East. Mr R. D. Newth, Deputy Public Trustee. The death occurred at Christchurch yesterday of Mr Rookwood Ccmport Bishop, an'arrival in this country with one of the first four ships, and one of the most prominent citizens of Christchurch for many years. Mr Bishop was in his eightieth year. He retired from the managership of the Christchurch gas company only a few' days ago.
