(1/7Jd to l/Bid per lb.): Juno 13, 184/- to 188/- per cwt. (l/7J.d to 1/S per lb.); June 6, 178/- to 180/per cwt. (1/7 to l/7Jd per lb.). Other qualities: June 20, 156/- to 176/- per cwt. (l/4Ad to l/63d per lb.) Siberian; June 20, 158/- to 166/- per cwt. (1/43<3 to l/53d per lb.): June 13. 148/- to 158/- per cwt. (l/33d to l/4Jd per lb.): June 6, 144/- to 152/per cwt. Market quiet now. Official quotations are:—English finest farmers’ (steady): June 20, 106/- to 110/- per cwt. (Hid to 113 d per lb.); June 13, 104/- to 108/- per cwt. (lid to Hid per lb.); Canadian (coloured and white): June 20, 96/- to 98/- per cwt. (10id to 10id per lb.); June 13, 92/- to 94/- per cwt. (93d to lOd per lb.); June 6,.88/- to 90/- per cwt. (9id to 9Jd per lb.); New Zealand( coloured and white): June 20, 99/- to 100/- per cwt. (IOJd to 103 d per lb.): June 13, 97/- to 98/per cwt. (10id to 10Jd per lb.); June 6, 93/- to 94/- per cwt. (93d to lOd jer lb.).
Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. “Port Brisbane” and “City of Winchester.’ ’ Hemp.—Manila quiet and values lower during this week, but closed firmer. “J“ grade July-Septomber shipments sold at £4l per ton. New Zealand quiet. Small sale of Highpoints August shipment reported at £36, but no buyers here over £35. June-August shipments valued £43 10/- and fair quoted at sellers £33 any position. Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co., are in receipt of a cable from their principals, Messrs. W. Woddel and Co., Ltd., dated London, June 19, as follows:—“Danish butter, 192/- (190/- to 192/-); New Zealand (unsalted), 187/to 190/- (184/- to 188/-); New Zealand (salted), 180/- to 182/- (178/- to ISO/-). Market firm. Cheese (white and coloured: 99/- to 100/- (97/- to 98/-). Market quiet."
