A RECORD SHOW.
AND DOMINION RECORD GATE Great Fifth Day Crowd RECEIPTS *436 AHEAD OP LAST YEAR. The magnificent weather right through last week culminated in a glorious day on Saturday, when the National Dairy Show again established a record gate, and completed local and Dominion records for the five days of the Show. The following comparative figures speak for themselves— -1923.
Compared with 1924 (exceedingly wet weather) the increase is £436 15/ for five days each Of these years. Compared with 1923, which w ?js a four day Show and the last time Wanganui and Te Aute Colleges played, the increase is £220 18/4. No less than 1000 members paid up their annual suscription of £1 for tickets for this Show and as each member’s tickets carried four lady adirjisison tickets, the total represents 8,000 admissions Issued. It is not usual for so many mefnbers to pay up before this Show, so it is evident members are taking a greater interest in the Winter Show and the results are most satisfactory. This establishes a record for this Association. The gate takings and; members’ subscriptions combined represents the largest receipts of any Winter Dairy Show in the Dominion,
