At. ‘the inquest into tho death of a child of six years, burnt to death in a house at Tawa Flat, the coroner highly commended the gallantry of Milton Mextod and Gordon Staples, who rescued the two othox* children from tho burning building, Tho coroner .added that tho mother committed an error of judgment in leaving the house and not giving the children in charge of a neighbour.
