Fifty-four shirts were given away and the last list of successful competitors appears in today’s issue. The Davis Cup players, Patterson and Hawkes .arrived at Honolulu on Friday and played an exhibition game on an asphalt court. The weather was hot and the halls light. S. Snodgrass defeated Patterson 6—o. 6 —l; B. Kinsey and Snodgrass defeated Patterson and Hawkes 7 —6, 6—3. The meeting, one of a local body in Palmerston North on Saturday, was nearing -conclusion.
