MOUNTED RIFLES CAMP.
The Wellington Mounted Rifles Regiment is to go into camp on the race course on Saturday next, when the advance party of about 40 strongwill make camp. The main body of throe hundred will enter camp on the following Wednesday, under Lt. Col. E. J. Hulbert. A combined committee consisting of the Women’s National Reserve, The District Nurse, and the Plunket Nurse Societies is making arrangements for the entertainment of the members of the regiment during their sojourn in Feilding. A canteen committee has been organised to assist Mr French, of the National committee of the T.M.C.A., to equip a reading and writing room. Books and other materials for this purpose may be sent to Messrs Barraud and Abraham’s, in Fergusson street. The Plunkot Society’s dance which is to be part of the entertainment programme, is to be held in the Drill Hall on Wednesday, July Ist.
