While this reflects great credit on the factory managers concerned, we also wish to sincerely congratulate the factory suppliers on the marked improvement in the quality of the raw material supplied during the season. Given good raw material, most managers arc keen enough to score well with the finished product. The quantities of dairy produce graded for export from the Dominion for the year ending March 31st, 1925, were 1,400,625 cwts. of butter and 1.447,236 cwts. of cheese. Butter showing an increase of 238,438 cwts. and cheese an increase of 19,871 cwts. over the previous season. It is a matter for congratulation that after years of effort by the Association, the Government has decided to' erect an up-to-date Dairy Laboratory and Experimental factory. We predict benefit from these facilities. During the past season quite a number of successful conferences were held at the grading ports, many dairy company directors attending, with the managers. We thank the officers of the Dairy Division for their continued support, and we recognise that by their zealous aid the quality of the whole of the dairy produce of the Dominion is being steadily improved. Our Provincial officers have, as usual, worked well in the. interests of the provincial districts, and to them we extend the thanks of all members of our association.
