CANADA’S LEAD TO PKOTESTA NTISM. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] TORONTO, Juno 10. Dr. S. D. Chmvn, general superintendent of the Methodist Church speaking before 8000 persons to-day, declared: “The Presbyterian Church in Canada, the Congregational Churches of Canada, and the Methodist Church, along with the General Council of the local Union of Churches, are now united and constituted as one church, to be designated ‘The United Church of Canada.’ ” Principal D. L. Ritchie, at the first General Council, said: “To-day Canada gives the leadership to Protestantism all over the world.”
