BACK BREAKS IN ROUGH WEATHER. VESSEL NDW IN TWO SECTIONS. [Per Press Association.] WANGANUI, Last Night. The Cyrena, which struck a submerged object outside the harbour entrance seventeen days ago. and was damaged so badly that she had to be beached, ended her career to-day, when she broke her back. The steamer is now in two sections. ,
The weather was rough all day and the vessel started to break up at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
