The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following cablegram from its London house under date April 29: — Butter. —Choicest salted, 1G8:/- to 170/- per cwt; choicest unsaltcd, 178/to ISO/- per cwt. Temporary shortage of available supplies. Cheese. —"Market dull.

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of April 30: — “Butter —Fair enquiry. Wo quote New Zealand salted at 172/- (168/-): Danish, 188/- (186/-): finest Australian salted, 16.0/- (158/-); unsaltcd, 162/- (162/-). “Cheese. —Market dull, New Zealand white and coloured, 96/- to 97/(98/-): Canadian c i.f. quotation, 86/to 88/-.’’ Last week’s quotations given in parenthesis.
