NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE
The value of a: distinguishing mark for Now Zealand produce for export was stressed at a meeting of the Auckland branch of the New ' Zealand Tourist League the other day. The fegling of the committee was that a map of New Zealand would be a suitable and convenient brand. As illustrating the need for a distinguishing standardised trade mark for the Dominion’s produce a member of the committee said that when he was in London on one occasion, he went to a store to purchase some New Zealand butter, and despite the fact that New Zealand butter was on the counter, he was told there was none in the store. When he pointed out the butter on-the counter the assistant said: “That is not New Zealand butter, it is colonial butter.” ■
