SANSON-PEILDING MAIL
SERVICE TO BE RETAINED. The protest of the settlers of Sanson and Feilding business people against the elimination of the Feil-ding-Sanson mail service has been upheld by the Postal Department and steps-are to be taken to continue the existing service. Mr McNamara, visited Feilding on Thursday and met a deputation consisting of residents of Sanson and the Feilding Chamber of Commerce delegates and the position was fully explained from the local view points. Mr McNamara after hearing the remarks, expressed himself as being satisfied that the existing service was entirely satisfactory and that the proposed change would not suit. Instructions would be given for the retention of the present service. The deputation thanked Mr McNamara and the Hon D. H. Guthrie for the trouble they had gone to.
