AUCKLAND SESSIONS. [Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, Last Night. In the Supreme Court, Harold Keith Jones, 23, a clerk in the Bank of New Zealand, for the forgery of a cheque for £450, was sentenced to two years’ reformative. Frederick Daniel Sands, 23, for unlawful knowledge of a girl of 14 years and four months, was sentenced oo two years’ probation. WELLINGTON CASES. /Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Last Night. In the Supreme Court, William Alexander Dickie .Duncan, for theft at Wanganui was sentenced to eighteen months' hard labour. Sydney Charles Leckie, for breaking, entering and theft, received two years’ reformative. Allan Cameron McPhco and George Edward Charlton, came up for sentence for indecent assault on a male, Charlton who was said to be mentally weak, had a fit in the dock. He was sentenced to throe years’ detention, and Sir Robert Stout said he would recommend the prisoner’s examination, with a view to . his detention in an asylum. The trouble was that there was no suitable institution ror such cases. McPhee received three years’ reformative. £I7OO MISSING. [Per Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Martin was again rcraanSed to Monday on charges of the misappropriation of Bank funds. It has been ascertained that alleged defalcations now total £1786.
