GAOL FOR AUCKLAND COMMUNISTS,

At the Police Court, two Communists, Oswald Bourbcau and Evan John Thomas were charged with having sold a book “The A.BC. of Communism’’ to a police constable, a book, which encourages violence and lawlessness. They were found guilty, Bourbcau was sentenced to three months’ gaol, and Thomas, who previously had been fined £25, to two months in gaol.
