SLY-GROOGEH STALLED OPPOSITE CONSTABLE’S HOUSE.

James Oliver Scott was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment with hard labour for sly-grogging, and to one month’s imprisonment for assaulting a policeman who endeavoured to effect an arrest. Accused’s car, containing twenty-three bottles of whisky, stalled in front of the constable’s house, and the constable saw the car and became suspicious.
