Cottingham was not to bo seen but it was thought he had gone to tJm mill to have a siren sounded. His remains were found near the front dopr of the cookhouse when the fire had burnt itself out. Cottingham. who was employed as a genera l hand at the mill was a recent arrival from Lin colnshire.
