BOXING.
INTERESTING MANAWATU FIGHTS. A meeting of the Manawatu Boxing Association was held last night at the Kosy Theatre, Mr H. B. Bennett was in the chair. The entries for the forthcoming amateur championship tournament were considered. Several entrants hifve been Injured at football and the commHtee is endeavouring to arrange a first-class professional fight to make it a worthy entrrtamment. Three weights, four feathers, four lightweights two welters and two middleweight!! have entered for the championships and a good team should be brought together for the centre championships next month in Wanganui.
