BOXING.

MANAWATU ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the committee of the Boxing Association was held last night, Mr C. P. Cronin presiding. The annual report and balance shoot were submitted, and the date of the annual meeting fixed for April 7. The draft amendment! to rules was approved, to be brought down at that meeting. A list of 24 amateur boxers training in Palmerston North was sub. mitted and registration was granted in each case.

Preliminary arrangements wore made for a novice tourney on April 2. It was decided that half the proceeds should be donated to the Olympic committee, towards the expenses of boxing representatives to the Olympic games. An application from a club at Levia for affiliation was granted. It was decided t(o purchase a challenge cup for competition amongst primary school boys,
