[Per Press Association.] GREYMOUTH, Last Night. A 15 rounds professional boxing contest was fought on Saturday night in tho Town Hall between Tommy Fairhall (9.13) and Eugene Voiaire (10.12). The bout went the lull instance, Fairhall gaining Referee Page’s decision after exhibiting an all-round superiority throughout the contest. He sent Voiaire to the canvas m the third round for a count of nine, and immediately floored him again, when he rose for three, when tho gong sounded. The pace was fast in the opening rounds, but slackened later. Voiaire lauded a heavy blow in the Anal round, damaging FairhaU’s jaw, but the effect was not exhibited till the referee’s decision in Fairhall s favour. The verdict was popularly received. In two six-round amateur bouts, Cotter (Runanga) outpointed Cleary (Taranaki) and ’Mettrick (Blackball) outpointed Russ (Camerons) after willing mills.
