ROMANCER RELEASED

NO CHARGE TO ANSWER.

ANXIOUS TO KEEP FOWLS. LONDON, October 8. Harold Roy Milner, the amazing youth, whose brief career of imposture has left the inhabitants of Holbeach, in Lincolnshire, amazed at their own gullibility, has left the London police station, where he was detained for two days, as no charge has been preferred against him. Milner, whose real name, it appears, is Wilfred Fentinian, told his interviewers a long- story of his adventures at Holbcach. It will be remembered that, arriving from parts unknown, within six weeks he had become the partner of a local business man, bought the local theatre, a mansion, furniture, plate, and a motor-car, married the prettiest girl in the place, obtained a loan from a London money-lender on the strength of a mythical inheritance, and finally vanished in a cToud of unpaid bills amounting to thousands of pounds. He declares, however, that, everything will be paid in full. "I love my wife," he says, "and I'm anxious for us to live together. I intend to make a living by keeping fowls." His wife, whom he deserted during the honeymoon, has written to her husband's mother signifying her. willingness to accept this proposal.
