KQSY. |‘ Beating the Game ” Tom Moore's latest starring attraction at the Kosy this week-end, is one of the most brilliant stories that the popular Tom has ever appeared in. He is seen as a young cracksman wlio goes to a small town and there he has, and takes his chance ■ of running on the straight road. He is to run for mayor when a former crook of his association puis in an appearance and his confession to the people that he has been a thief brings the story to an unusual and amazing climax. The picture is a Goldwyn offering and the ideal vehicle for Tom Moore. The final oi “ Perils of the Yukon ” is being shown this week with the opening chapter of now and up to date serial “ The Radi King,” which is a mystery play and opens up very well. A sunshine comedy “The Pour Flushcr ” is also showing. PALACE. “ THREE JUMPS AHEAD.” The original and ever entertaining western star, Tom Mix, rode into town last night and scored the greatest hit of his screen career at the Palace. His latest photoplay, “Three Jumps Ahead,” produced by William Fox, presents a series of thrills that exceed even the previous efforts of this star. In this picture which is a virile story of the Western plains, written and directed by Jack Ford, Tom Mix is assisted by Alma Bennett and “ Tony,the wonder horse of the films. This is the first engagement of Miss Bennett. as leading lady for the popular star, and her role was very well handled. A ’Mix night at the locai playhouse has come to be a standard of excellent screen entertainment, and .the present picture even exceeds the previous efforts of the well-liked Mr. Mix. Thrilling action, an excellent cast, a real love story and many comedy scenes make this an ideal picture t 0 appeal to everyone. Fast riding, thrilling leaps and daring rides down steep mountain sides, will delight all the Mix fans In this picture. One of the most remarkable scones in this picture shows Mix and "Tony” jumping a canyno 20ft. wide and 90ft. deep. This is the first time that such a feat has actually been done by a film star fo r - any picture. This scene alone will make it worth your while to see this photoplay. A good comedy pictorial news and cartoon with such a fine feature will ensure the Palace being full for th 0 rest of the week.
