FEUDING MEMORIAL.
UNVEILING CEREMONY TO-DAY
Given line weather, the ceremony of unveiling the memorial to fallen soldiers, which is to take place this morn ing, will .be largely attended. Although the early hour may prevent some from being present, it is understood that those living in the country districts are making every effort to arrive in time. The Returned Soldiers’ Association has been doing its utmost to have a la.rgc parade of returned men, and it is to be hoped that its energies in this direction will not be without result. As many as possible are asked to parade in uniform, with decorations. Special accommodation has been provided on the ground near the memorial for next-of-kin. The ceremony is timed to commence at 9.25 a.m. sharp. The local company of territorials will act as the guard of honor and the cadets and Boy Scouts will be paraded on cither side of the memorial, the guard taking up Its position in front. After the ceremony, the returned soldiers will be entertained at morning tea in the Drill Hall Where His Excellency th e GovernorGeneral will take the oppoitunity of conversing with the men. Souvenir programmes of the occasion will be issued this morning.
