BRITISH REGULATIONS.

The Postmaster-General has made a statement that It Is impossible for the broadcasting committee’s scheme to operate immediately. He agrees in the interim to license for 15/ and for those experimenting 10/, the company receiving 12/6 and 7/6 respectively. After December 31, 1924, the proportion of license fees receivable from the company will be placed on a sliding scale, based on the number of licenses and the cost of maintaining an adequate broadcasting serviefc, the profits of the company being limited to 71 per cent. If company supplies a satisfactory service and is willing to provide additional stations where the Postmaster-Gen-eral considrs them necessary, the latter will not license any other broadcasting service during the interim period, but reserves the right subsequently to license other services if desirable, giving a share of the revenue to tttem.
