FARMERS CHARGED.
AIjTjEGED series op thefts. [Per Press Association.! TE AWAMUTU, Last Night. - Before the Justices to-day, Arthur William Coulter and William Alfred Coulter, farmers, at Ohaupo ( were charged With the theft from farms in the neighbourhood of various materials valued at £IBO. There were twelve charges, involving a big series of thefts, including a spring dray, saddles, harness, ploughs and other implements. Thefts were reported to the police throughout August and until a fortnight ago, when the accused were arrested. The hearing lasted the whole day. The accused pleaded not guilty, reserved their defence, and were committed for trial, bail being allowed.
