FALLEN SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL.

The completion of Fcilding’s memorial to fallen soldiers is now in sight. Yesterday morning the figure of “Victory,” carved in Sicilian marble, arrived on the site, and is now being placed in position by the contractor, Mr F. J. Jones. The figure is a beau, tiful example of the sculptor’s art, and will certainly enhance the site upon which it is fo bo erected. The unveiling ceremony is fixed for the giorning of October 3, when the Governor-Gen-eral will perform the act.
