Some may be in a poor state of health.; some may find that their own business does not leave them enough time, and energy for other people's affairs; others have the uneasy feeling that they have not the necessary experience or equipment for a proper performance of the duties appertaining to the trusteeship. Whenever, for any cause, private trustees desire to be relieved of their duties, the Public Trustee can be nappointed in their place. The private trustees may choose to withdraw completely, or they may retain a helpful connection with the estate as advisory trustees.
