Unless practices for the production of "The Messiah," whloh the local Musical Union has in view, receive more support, the committee may have to reconsider the position. The orchestra has put in much practice and it is to be hoped that those comprising the chorus will maintain a better attendance. There was a heavy fall of snow at Apiti and the surrounding country on Monday, and a hard frost followed during the night. Again early yesterday morning, a further fall of snow took place and it was cold enough in Feilding yesterday to justify snow. Several showers of hail were experienced outside the Borough on the higher levels. On Monday evening, at the Parish Hall, the members of the Girls' Physical Culture Club spent a very pleasant time together to wind up their classes for the season. Presentations were made to the instructress. Miss D. Mills, and the secretary, Miss D. Lange after wirier several Items were given b ythc girls and dancing took place. After a dainty supper the evening was brought to a close. The election of employers* representatives on the Board of Managers of the Feilding Agricultural High School in place of Messrs A. H.
