Owing to heavy rains, the Prospect reservoir is overflowing its banks, and millions of gallons of water are running to waste. Heavy falls of snow are reported from Katoomba, Orange, and other centres, the for many years. RACES POSTPONED. (Received Monday, 8.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. Aug. 6. Heavy weather and persistent rain continue. The Jockey Club races have been postponed.
