The’appointment of Miss Wright, who commenced her duties as nurse at Mangahao on July 2, has been very pleasing to the resident doctor, reported the secretary of the Hospital Board yesterday. A pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Paul’s Alethodist Church, Broad Street, on Wednesday, by the Rev. AI. A. Rugby Pratt, the contracting parties being Alys, second youngest daughter of Air and Airs AI. Levenston, and Air Laurie Taylor, son of Airs E. A. Taylor, both of Palmerston North. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was becomingly attired in a dainty frock of cream radianta delicately trimmed; she wore an attractive veil and the usual orange blossoms. The bride was attended by Miss Edna Levenston, wearing pale pink satin and black hat to match. The best man was Air J. Taylor, of Palmerston North. The bride's travelling costume was of fawn, with shoes and stockings to match, and she wore a navy blue and gold hat. At the breakfast, which was given at the residence of the bride, No. 64, Cuba Street, there was a large attendance, and entertainment was provided for the guests of the evening. The couple left by motor on thier honeymoon trip.. The marriage was solmniscd at the Alethodist Church, Waitoa, on June 27, by the Rev. Henderson, of To Aroha,of Aliss Linda Gould,of Palmerston North (late of Rongotca), and Air W. H. Knight, of Raranga (late of Pctone). The church was prettily decorated for the occasion. The bride, who entered the church accompanied by Air A. Arnold, an old friend of the family, was charmingly attired in a gown of cream brocaded satin trimmed with pearls, with the usual veil caught up in Egyptian style. She carried a brocade of frecsias and maiden-hair fern, with streamers. The bride was attended by Aliss Ellen Wilson, of Auckland, as bridesmaid. She looked very dainty in a frock of apricot crepe-dc-chenc trimmed with silver beads, ,-ith hat to match. She ca quot of freesias and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was supported by Air Walter Yarrall, of Waitoa. After the ceremony, the guests were entertained at the residence of Airs Frank Yarrall (sietor of the bride), when the usual toasts were honoured. The happy couple left later in the day on their honeymoon amid showers of good wishes.
