"SOCCER" TEAM IN AUSTRALIA.

VICTORIES OF COUNTRY TEAMS. [By Electric Cable—Copyright]. [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Wednesday, 7.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 11. The newspaper "Referee" contends that in view of defeats sustained by the New Zealand Association team at the hands of several country teams, selectors should visit every part of the State before selecting test teams with the object of including worthy countrj players in teams representing the State or Commonwealth. On the other hand, many Association officials dismiss the country defeats of the New Zealanders airily, contending that the visitors concentrated on winning the ashes and treated the other games as picnic contests.
