ANOTHER REPATRIATION OFFICER ARRESTED.
CHARGES OF FORGERY AT JIASTERTON. [Per Press Association.] MASTERTON, Last Night. As a result of investigations by the Audit Department, Thomas Richard Southall, secretary of the Masterton Racing Club, and formerly secretary of the Masterton branch Repatriation Department, was arrested to-day on a charge that h 0 did on March 27, 1922, at Masterton, forge rhc name of W. R. Walker to a treasury voucher of £!>o. He appeared at the Magistrate's Court and was remanded till July 17, when investigations will be completed and further charges preferred. STILL ANOTHER CASE. HAVELOCK TOWN BOARD SUFFERS. (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Las t Night. Carth Robert Gill, ex-secretary of the Havelock Town Board, pleaded guilty to charges of theft of the Board's funds totalling £240 10/7, also to forging the name of J. Pope to a voucher for £2. Accused was committed to the Supremo Court, Wellington, for sentence, bail of £250 being allowed with two sureties of a liko amount.
