OROUA SUB-ASSOCIATION. KIMEOLTON V. RANGIWAHIA. (Prom Our Own Correspondent). The ladies’ match, Kimbolton v. Rangiwahia, was played on the Recreation Grounds, Kimbolton, on Wednesday afternoon, and after a keen struggle ended in a draw—neither side being able to register a score. Right from the bully off Rangiwahia attacked, and kept the Kimbolton girls penned down in their twenty-five for a considerable time, having hard luck in not scoring on several occasions. Misses McMullen and Pemberton led attacks at the Kimbolton goal, the goalkeeper (Miss Tobeck) being frequently called upon to defend and on every occasion, she cleared in good style. In the second half, the Kimbolton girls got going and invaded Rangiwahia’s territory, but could not get past Miss Hall (the goalkeeper). Play became fast and interesting in the last quarter of an hour, and each side strove hard to win. Misses A; Pettigrew, M. Pussell, and M. (Kimbolton) were conspicuous for good play, but their efforts were nullified through lack of support at the critical moment. The game ended with Rangiwahia attacking strongly. Mr W. L. Hesseltine was referee. For Rangiwahia, Misses McMullen a,nd Pemberton in the forwards, and Missscs E. and G. Morgan in the backs were very prominent throughout the game, while for Kimbolton Misses M. Pussell and. M. Parsons, in the forwards and Misses A. Pettigrew and V. Tobeck in the backs, were the mainstays of the team, and saved the situation time and again. At the conclusion of the match the visitors were entertained at afternoon tea.

a position that it would place the middle huger of the right hand more or less out of commission. But I quickly realised that the difficulty mainly arose owing to a habit I have of first taking hold of my putter with the left hand, 'and then applying the right hand to the grip. With the principle of Colonel Quill, it is esesntial that one should takfe the “first” grip wi£h the right hand, and then dovetail in the fingers of the left hand, in accordance with his instructions.”
