BAGHDAD RAILWAY.
BOUGHT BY THE ROTHSCHILDS. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Thursday, 8.40 p.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, May 16. It is reported that the Baghdad railway has been bought by a group of English and Swiss bankers, headed by the Rothschilds. M. Huguenian, managing director of the railway, stated definitely that the Rothschild group had bought the railway, but he refused to give details. On being asked what becomes of the German and French interests, M. Huguenian said that would depend upon the Allies.
