MORNING TEA.

SAILOR'S WIPE AND FRIENDS. (Per Press Association.) A divorce case possessing unusual features was heard before the Supreme. Court to-day, when John Ernest Denton, marine engineer, of Wellington applied for a dissolution of his marriage with Edyth Denton, on the grounds of misconduct with Benjamin Francis Carrington, a sea captain and Herbert Rosenberg, a jeweller, of Wellington. It was stated that petitioner was an engineer, and while at Home on war service, met respondent and married her. The parties led a happy life for some years after coming to New Zealand, but later respondent took to drink. While petitioner was at Hanmer and in hospital, his wife was alleged to have misconducfted herself with Carrington and then with Rosenberg. Upon the husband being discharged from hospital, he searched her house and found a .large number of empty bottles, also many valuable presents, including rings, a gold comb, chains a.nd wristlet watches. It was alleged that when petitioner, who was in receipt of a pension from the Royal Naval authorities, came home early one morning, he found Rosenberg, in pyjamas, making tea for respondent. His wife used to make tea for the milkman about 4 o'clock in the morning, and the husband, in view of what the neighbours might think, upon the subject, advised his wife to discontinue the practice. The case is unfinished.
